In gospel, booking and management often go hand in hand. Some acts even allow their labels to coordinate their booking, so if you don't find the act you're looking for, check with the label to which the artist is signed. Rates vary, Provided below are some tips that could prove helpful.

  1. KNOW THE DETAILS OF YOUR ENGAGEMENT including date, location, time, sancturary capacity, ticket prices, other artist on the program and who would sign contracts.
  2. A BUDGET will give the manager/agent an idea of how much you've invested in the event.
  3. BE PROFESSIONAL with the artist's tune. Return calls promptly, contracts abd deposists on time.
  4. KEEP IN MIND that artists should not be asked to reduce their honorariums even if you only need them for three songs. (They cannot book another apprearance the same day to offset a loss in income).
  5. CREATE A WORKING RELATIONSHIP with agents. They can help you in the future with other artists.
